The remote desktop connection manager manages various desktop connections remotely. It also manages various labs of server as well as large farms of server where regular access to every machine is needed in form of automated systems of check in and various centers of data. It is more flexible and has built in MMC remote desktops. Remote desktop manager allows simple operation with remote desktops and servers.

It supports Citrix ICA, VDI, VNC and VMRC along with VMWare, ESXIi servers. It is an application which is used for managing all the remote connections along with virtual machines. This connection manager has many features like manual connection, authentication of simple user, authentication based on login password, VNC based connection and storage of secure settings.

You can save your credentials locally in the database which is safeguarded by encryption of AES. They can also be saved in many external applications like keepass or lastpass. Terminal is a feature of remote desktops client manager. It uses the terminal services of active client in form of mstscax.dll. Terminals also manage many other connections like HTTP, Citrix, VRRC and VNC. It also handles various operations like WMI Explorer, TCP connections, Ping and Trace Route. It is a project which is open source and is maintained by number of years. It is developed on a stable version 2 and is running on Windows XP, 7 and Windows 8.

Both 64 and 32 bits are equally supported by this software. This software is very similar to servers of Windows which has remote desktop snap in and is more flexible. It works on Windows 7 and has a server version of 2003. In order to access Windows XP, the latest version of RDP is needed to use it. Multidesk is another option for this manager which manages multiple connections of RDP.

All of them are managed by a server or any group folder. It is completely free and portable. All the connections and configurations are saved in the Save As folder in the form of an XML file. You can easily carry it in order to access it with all the related information. This software of remote desktop manager is very promising and powerful. It is a powerful weapon that covers all the needs within one environment.

This tool is very simple to work with. You can easily mange Windows servers through RDP tool. This tool is competent enough to perform a lot of administration and tasks of configuration apart from many servers and workstations. This tool is also very secure and very easy to configure mere by clicking the mouse. It is used easily over links of WAN by deploying regular based encryption or connecting it through a terminal server. This is an awesome tool for administrators, testers, developers and lab managers who are responsible for maintaining groups of computers. You can connect to them often.

After installing this tool, both partners and customers benefit greatly from it. It fills the gap between standalone application and the remote desktops. You can download the version of the software for the client update for Windows XP (KB969085) with service pack 3. After downloading, you can easily install the software. After running it from the first time, you can create a new connection by going to new option of file menu. You can thereafter select the location and name of the file.

After making the connection file, you can create a new group by right clicking the connection icon and selecting the “ADD GROUP “option. You can later enter a name for the group. The connection file of parent is configured with master properties like login credentials. After configuring them, the settings are automatically inherited to the objects of children. The group then passes these settings to the individual settings. In case you want to configure the group with other credentials and not the default ones, you are required to unselect the option of inherit from parent .You can find it in the tab of login credentials and get the details filled.

In the next step, you can add the machines, you want to configure to. You can simply right click the group and choose the option of “Add server”.
